This is a great spot for authentic, fresh (rare in Colorado) mexican seafood. I got the pineapple aguachile which was delicious. They have a large cocktail menu too-- I recommend the cantarito or margarita flight! Service was attentive and the live music was enjoyable. I'd say this is the perfect spot for an authentic dining experience that shows off a diverse Mexican cuisine.
This place is a bit of a misfire for Yelp. I found the google maps reviews to be much more on point. Anyway, I loved the place. I got the shrimp wrapped with bacon and it was super good. It's been a long time since high school Spanish but I was able to communicate pretty OK with the bartender. The language barrier added a degree of authenticity to an already authentic place. It felt like a little slice of Mexico, which I loved. As far as I am concerned there is nothing to not like about this place.
They have some of the best selection of seafood plates and delicious alcohol drinks such as the Long Island definitely recommend that !
The aguachile rojo is very flavorful! Also, the Ostiones El Rey are delicious. I enjoy coming on Sunday nights for the grupo/banda.
Seafood galore. Large portions. Friendly staff. Festive atmosphere. Many televisions for sporting event viewing. Did I mention large portions? The chips and salsa were great. No iced tea is available, which was a bummer. The shrimp fajitas were loaded with shrimp and fresh green and red peppers. It was served with corn tortillas. Overall a hearty delightful experience. Try them out. You'll be glad you did.
